Footwear for Beach Weddings

If you are having a beach wedding, be sure to give some thought to what kind of shoes you will be wearing. Pretty shoes with high heels will look great at your reception. But during your beach wedding ceremony, they will sink down in the sand and become flats. You might want to have one pair of shoes for your reception and a different pair for the beach ceremony. Many brides wear simple shoes such as decorative flip-flops for the ceremony. Better yet, look for a dazzling foot-wrap such as in this picture.

And also, be sure to alert your wedding party and guests about their footwear choices. I’ve seen guests arrive to a beach wedding in stockings and heels only to be miserably uncomfortable. Don’t let that happen to your guests.
